ABOUT
UN Women, in collaboration with a broad coalition of more than 10 partners, advances a global initiative to enhance disaggregated data in crisis and conflict settings. By integrating real-time qualitative data analysis and AI-driven modelling into the Women Count platform, the project serves as a vital reference for inclusive and publicly accessible crisis data. Across six high-priority crisis contexts, the project will pilot the enhanced platform to generate timely, granular and targeted data for global scale-up.
OBJECTIVES
CRAF’d support focuses on strengthening UN Women’s ability to generate and use disaggregated data in crisis and conflict settings. This includes producing standardized analyses across six pilot countries, strengthening the capacity of local women’s organizations to collect and apply data, and improving access through the Women Count platform. These efforts aim to ensure that granular and disaggregated data is more consistently available and better integrated into humanitarian planning and targeted responses.
CRAFd investment allowed us to move gender data from the margins of humanitarian analysis to the centre of how crises are understood and addressed. This shift is not simply technical — it represents a fundamental change in whose experiences count, whose needs drive decisions, and whose voices shape the humanitarian response.
