HIGHLIGHT EVENT: CRAF’d AT THE UN WORLD DATA FORUM

The panel discussion on "Unlocking Impact: Data, Analytics, and AI for Better Crisis Action" at the UN World Data Forum 2024 in Medellín, Colombia, brought together a full house of engaged participants eager to explore how we can create sustainable crisis data ecosystems to support over 350 million people living in fragile and crisis-affected settings.

DATA FOR PEACE: PRACTITIONERS HYBRID CONFERENCE
CRAF'd, in collaboration with its partners, connect ecosystem partners at the Data For Peace Conference - a 5-day hybrid event hosted by the NYU Center on International Cooperation. This monumental gathering brought together some 1,500 practitioners from around the world. It featured over 120 speakers and 20 insightful sessions. The conference was a nexus, connecting the UN, Member States, academia, NGOs, and the private sector.
REIMAGINING TOMORROW: BREAKTHROUGHS IN DATA & AI FOR A MORE RESILIENT WORLD
In partnership with Gzero Media and the Early Warning for All initiative, CRAF’d convened global leaders at the 78th UN General Assembly. The live-streamed talk show attracted over 100,000 online viewers. Amina Mohammed (Deputy Secretary-General, United Nations), Axel van Trotsenburg, (Managing Director, World Bank), Dr. Comfort Ero (President and CEO, International Crisis Group), and Ian Bremmer (President, Eurasia Group & GZERO Media), delved into the potential of data, AI, and technology to address the most urgent challenges of our time and enhance crisis anticipation, charting a course for a more resilient future.
