LIVE FROM THE UNITED NATIONS: RETHINK, RESET, DELIVER BETTER WITH DATA & AI
CRAF’d hosted a live event during the 80th United Nations General Assembly, bringing together global leaders and frontline partners to explore how smarter use of data and technology, supported by greater coherence and efficiency, can unlock bold solutions to today’s global challenges. As the UN marks 80 years, the conversation spotlighted the UN80 Initiative’s call to rethink and reset the humanitarian system. This reset is powered by better data and responsible AI to make crisis response faster, smarter, and more locally led in a world facing overlapping shocks from conflict and climate change to economic instability and eroding trust.
EXPERT WORKSHOP ON AI-POWERED CRISIS COMPUTING
CRAF’d is supporting an expert workshop on AI-Powered Crisis Computing, organized by the University of Birmingham, Hitotsubashi University, and HBKU, to be held on the sidelines of the United Nations AI for Good Summit in Geneva on 11 July 2025. Dedicated to harnessing AI for better crisis anticipation, prevention, and response, the workshop aims to bridge research, practice, and policy.
OECD FORUM ON DEVELOPMENT, PEACE AND STABILITY
CRAF’d, in collaboration with the OECD, World Bank, African Development Bank, and G7+ Group, supports the OECD Forum on Development, Peace & Stability in Paris, marking 25 years of OECD’s work on fragility. Focused on bridging the gaps between political decision-making and analysis for effective actions in contexts affected by fragility, the Forum will target the identification of improved pathways for delivering the best possible fragility analysis to the right levels across donor and partner institutions.
