ACLED
Maintaining and improving ACLED’s core operations
ABOUT
The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project (ACLED) is a leading global source of real-time data on conflict and political violence. Working with nearly 90 partners, more than half based in fragile and crisis-affected contexts, ACLED collects, verifies, and publishes geo-coded information on conflict events across 244 countries and territories. Its locally grounded methodology and rigorous quality controls make it a trusted reference for humanitarian, development, and peace actors worldwide.
OBJECTIVES
CRAF’d support focuses on strengthening ACLED’s infrastructure and decision-use. This includes enhancing interoperability and data architecture, improving accessibility through tools such as the Conflict Alert System, and advancing coordination across partners. These efforts aim to help partners translate conflict insights into earlier warning, more anticipatory action, and more targeted crisis financing.
CRAF’d funding ensures that ACLED’s high-quality, reliable, and timely data and tools can continue to be made available to policy-makers and practitioners around the world to support better data-driven decision-making.
