5TH CRAF’d STEERING COMMITTEE

The CRAF’d Steering Committee convened for its second biannual meeting for 2024 to advance critical decisions for data-driven crisis action. The Committee endorsed the next phase of gender data projects to drive equity in crisis response, reviewed the progress and next steps of the CRAF’d ecosystem strategy, and welcomed IOM as a new UN member to the Group.
STEERING COMMITTEE
The CRAF’d Steering Committee governs the Fund by providing strategic direction, approving funding allocations, and ensuring alignment with CRAF’d mission to enhance data-driven crisis action. It has ten members and is co-chaired by UN and donor representatives for balanced oversight. The Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office contributes its expertise as the trustee, serving as a non-voting member of the Steering Committee.

4TH STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING
In July 2024, the CRAF’d Steering Committee reaffirmed its commitment to data-driven crisis action and progress in joint investments, welcoming the United States as the new donor Co-Chair. The Committee also championed securing ACLED data as a public good.
3RD STEERING COMMITTEE MEETING
In April 2024, the CRAF’d Steering Committee allocated a $3.5 million investment in five data projects to transform crisis response and save lives. This strategic investment covers critical datasets for internal displacement, migration, climate change, and multi-hazard.
